        We are building a new house. What plumbing will stop a person in the shower from a large change in temp. of shower when a person in another part of the house turns on say the hot water Thanks, Rich

What plumbing will stop a person in the shower from a large change in temp. of shower when a person in another part of the house turns on say the hot water : Thanks, : RichYour local plumbing code probably requires a pressure-balanced type tub/shower valve be installed in new construction. This type valve works under the principle the water pressure should remain even between hot and cold. When one or the other side loses pressure a balancing spool adjusts to equalize the pressure. This may diminish the volume of water coming from the shower head, but the temperature should not vay by more than 2-3 degrees. Talk to your plumber or plumbing inspector…they know! pipewerks
