When flushing our toilet- after releasing the lever, the flapper closes too soon, before the bowl empties. Is there an easier solution than replacing guts of toilet?
:Norm, The tank flappers all have a pocket of air inside to keep them afloat. Your flapper will close too soon if that pocket of air fill with water. Shut your water supply valve off, fluch the toilet and lift the flapper up to release the water within. This should take care of it.

Unless it is a low water usage toilet, which are designed to close quickly, the flapper is worn out. Replace it.: When flushing our toilet- after releasing the lever, the flapper closes too soon, before the bowl empties. Is there an easier solution than replacing guts of toilet?
