: I have very low water presure and would like install a presure pump and tank. Can you tell me how to do this?: First locate your incoming water supply, then add a check valve to prevent additional pressure from pump from returning into your aminsource or city side.Normaly pump used for this application are referred to as a jet pum or shallow well pump.It will have an inlet and an outlet.conectect your inlet and outlet to the pump, then somewhere downstream from the pump you need to install a bladder tank. This is to prevent the pump from short cyclying when water is being used.If Im not mistaken the blatter tank needs an air charge of 2pounds more then your incoming pressure but ask your distributor to make sure. Most pumps for this purpose come prepackaged with a bracket on the tank for the pump and a pressure switch biult in.Then all you need to do is set your pressure switch and run electricity to the pump. you may have to prime the pump as well.Hope that helps
