I replaced an old bladder type tank with a pressurized type and now when the taps are opened anywhere in the line, good pressure for about 2 seconds. After that it goes to a steady trickle. new gauge on jet pump reads 45-50lbs. pump does not act erratically and all was normal before finding a hole in old tank. Takes 1 hour to fill washing machine, during which time pump will kick over as usual. HELP!!!
one of two things:A. You have too much air pressure in the tank. The pump is only able to add a little water before the air pressure is equal to the water pressure and i tcannot add any more water to the tank. When you open a tap that little bit of water comes out and then the pump has to cycle on and off trying to keep the pressure in the system.B.(and this is the most likely from your description)The shut-off valve is either broken or not open and is only letting that trickle of water through. The initial burst is the trapped full pressure in the system bleeding down.: I replaced an old bladder type tank with a pressurized type and now when the taps are opened anywhere in the line, good pressure for about 2 seconds.
