Spray WD-40 down the overflow pipe several times over a couple of days. Then try jerking the wire connected tothe plate. Use short quick strong jerks. If the wire comes loose, then get a piece of heavy brazing rod and make a shor U on one end and put it down the overflow hole and turn it until it catches the overflow stopper. Then pull very hard. If the connection breaks off so you cant catch the plug then leave it in there, and get a Watco or other brand lift and turn drain and put in in the bottom of the tub to replace the existng drain. : My bath tub drain stopper seems to be siezed in the open postion : Ive tried to take it out to grease it but it will not budge, Any suggestions?
