We have had a syptic system installed recently. starting soon after, we could smell a strong oder from our bathroom. It smells like a sewer. I really cant afford to call someone in right now, ( it cost me over $ 4000.00 to have it installed.) if its something simple to fix, or if I have to call the installer back out. please if you can, what should I check first. thank you in advance for your help.

Check the vents (or are they present/adequate?), for clogs/blocking. From the roof to the basemnt/crawl. Forgodsakes call the installer back out for an opinion! If it has been fairly recently, surely some kind of warranty is applicable (ck with your local building code official, or with the BBB or Dept of consumer affairs. Good Luck!
