Moving a Washing Machine–How do I drain it?

I’m moving in a couple days time, and I just disconnected my Washing Machine. The drain pipe has been removed, but there is still water inside the Washing Machine. Is there any way to drain the Washing Machine short of turning it 90 degrees?

Use a WET dry Vacuum OR plug it in put a pail under the discharge hose turn it on and away you go.

NOW you can understand WHY we plumbers get the big money LOL

Have you tried lowering the end of the discharge hose to the floor?
