I need help finding a secondary anode to protect a new water heater. The Rheem 75 Gal. water heater has a 1 outlet. Local sources have no idea where to find the product.

[If you do, you will need an aluminum alloy anode rather than the standard magnesium rod.] Also, I assume that you have adequate clearance so that you dont need the flexible rod (36 is adequate clearance.) If these assumptions arent correct, let me know because I have the other types available, too. Please send me an e-mail and we can ship to your home address. My e-mail is [email protected]

Steve…….We manufacture a device designed to do exactly what you want to do. There are a few added benefits to boot, not only will it prolong the life of the boiler, it will protect all the water distribution piping and recirculation lines connected to it from developing pin hole leaks, and will prevent leaching of heavy metal(Lead Tin Antimony) from old soldered joints and fittings in the system. We are authorized Ruud-Rheem installers, may be able to pass along a hint on how to make that heater last 20 years……Bud
