What causes water pipes to vibrate and make noise. I have changed the regulator and had the water company check their end of the water meter. After changing the regulator the vibrations stopped for one day.

Technical Components, an Australian manufacturing and design company, has just released soft closing water valves which eliminate or substantially reduce effects of water hammer produced through use of washing machines or dishwashers, or even evaporative air conditioners. They are designed as direct replacements for solenoid water valves fitted to these devices. Technical Components is currently looking for companies to manufacture or market the soft closing valves under licence in the USA.
