: How do I join a copper water line with PVC? We are without water, please help.Try installing a copper slip x male thread fitting on the copper line and install a pvc slip x female fitting on the pvc line. This should allow you to run pvc pipe to where you want it.

I understand you should not join copper and galvenized piping. Is this true and if so what are the ramifications?
