This sounds like a similar problem that we had a year ago. We had an electrician out and it was determined that something (I think it was actually the softener) was not grounded properly and electrolysis was corroding our pipes, causing the copper deposits. I have no plumbing background, but I think you would want to look into this first before purchasing anything. FYI, the water is also not safe to drink with this level of copper. Unfortunately for us after 9 corrosion free months, our problem is back and we’re having plumbers and electricians out again to determine the cause. Any suggestions?
