: I live in a slab house. It is four years old. Since we bought the house, the toilet in the second bathroom backs up on occassion. When this happens, the backup sewage comes into the tub. It also clogs the vent in the tub. I have managed to get it unclogged, but it is my concern that the system was not constructed right to start with. By the way we have had plumbers look at it and they say nothing is wrong. Does anyone have any suggestions?: ThanksOK my guess is that it is plumbed right and the concern needs to be focused on why it plugs up. Occasionaly to some people is every week, to others every month and then still others every year. If occasionaly is every two months or sooner then you can be assured that your bigger problem is underground and not in that vent pipe. What I mean is that pipe is maybe broke or have a root problem (still broke). Get the reason and then fix it. Good Luck.
