: : pulling & replacing a toilet : Turn off water supply at the shut off valve and disconnect supply line. Flush out remaining water in bowl and use a wet vac to remove the rest (keeps it a dry job). Cut the caulking at the base. Unscrew floor bolts and carfully lift toilet. Clean the flange of old wax ring and inspect floor bolts. Replace as needed. Attatch supplt tank to bowl, making sure that the tank to bowl gasket is seated well, and secure with the supplied bolts. Place wax ring on closet flange and carefully install toilet. Then tighten floor bolts. Be very careful when tightening any bolts on a toilet, not too toght or it will crack… but make it tight enough. Supply tank should not be able to move and bowl should not be able to rock. Reconnect supply line,( I always put a new one on with a new installation) and turn water back on. Check for leaks. Flush toilet and check for leaks. If all is good then recaulk the base. Good Luck.need: toilet( bowl and supply tank) flanged wax ring 3 floor bolts (2) tub and tile caulk may need: 3/8 or 1/2 comp. x 7/8 x 12 supply line.
