Electrolysis can work with a change from bronze to copper but will never give you the same voltage.As for using dissimilar metals; as long as the electric potentials are near the same as what is normally used there will be no problem.The easiest way to determine how closely related these metals are to copper or steel is to go a local college and find a book on Oxidation / Reduction chemistry. These books will list the electric potentials for all metals.Unfortunately I sold my Chemistry book and can not supply you with this info. Maybe there is a website with this info?
