By law all shower heads sold in the US can deliver a maximum of 2.5 gallons of water per minute. This may account for your dribble. Some shower heads require a rubber washer with a small hole in it to decrease volume down to legal limits. Usually this restrictor is visible if you look inside the head after removing it from its arm.
