A partially clogged drain line could cause that type of thing. But if the drain is not clogged… You may have to slightly change the tubular plumbing parts under the sink to include a baffled tee. The baffle directs the disposal pressure down into the p-trap rather than letting it spray over toward the other half of the sink. There may be other ways to change the flow of waste to eliminate the problem, but thats the only one I can come up with right now.
