: Last Sat, we heard this noise, like an engine while we were in the dining room. Later, when I was to take a shower, there was no hot water. Found out the breaker was off. Now it has done it several times. Why? Also the water has gotten much hotter than before.sounds like a shorted thermostate or wire connected to heater – get it checked ASAP
