: Do you have any info about corrosion of galvanized steel pipe used for water service at 190 degrees F.?Wow 190 degrees? ok is this for sterlization for comerical food applications? Is this for hydronic heating or just domestic water for a large building? Depending on the mineral content of the water and the ambiet conditions on how long this piping will last. Have you thought of Yalloy or Galvanized Wrought Iron. At any rate if I were to HAVE TO use this high of a temperature I would opt for schedule 80 piping. Make sure your allowing for expansion and get the manufacturers literature for the coeefficient of expansion per degree per foot of piping so you can properly design your expansion loops. If this is for Domestic potable water I seriously would reconsider this temperature. Good Luck….. Sylvan
