: I have an Ideal Standard toilet. The instructions read not to bed in cement based mortar. The toilet rocks just a little, without the fixing screws, should I rely only on the screws to stop it rocking, or should I bed it in with something, say silicon sealant?I wouldnt use the silicon simply because it so messy to get a neat finnish . I would use a latex caulk around the base. this can be wiped down smooth with a damp sponge. let it completely dry before using and moving toilet.
