: Could someone help me identify/solve a problem with a State water heater? : My 4-1/2 yr old home has two identical State water heaters, but only one is exhibiting these symptoms: popping noises; hot water is discolored brown (rust??) : Water heaters are original: 4-1/2 years old : Home has a water softener so calcium carbonate buildup shouldnt be a problem. : What could be causing these problems on one but not the other?
