: Please explain to me why when I use my shower some water comes out of the showerhead and some out of the faucet. What is wrong and how do I fix this problem.Joni. some water always trickles out the spout. The key word here is trickles! If the spout floods water out at the same time the shower is engaged then you need a new diverter spout. Or if you have a three handle faucet a new diverter stem for the middle handle, or if it has a small rod under the single lever tub handle a new diverter stem there too.
