: i have a new well that tested with coliform. how can i clean it so i can use the water?DO NOT DRINK THE WATER!!! You can cholrine shock the well and have it rechecked by health dept., maybe it was just contaminated during drilling, however the well may be into a contaminated supply. I would have it checked and rechecked and rechecked over a peroid of time before I drank any of it.
