    Yes that is correct a drain cleaner is just that a drain cleaner although they come with less of a cost they also usually have no liability insurance and with no contractors license are not bonded. A reputable drain service company will still be a Licensed Plumbing Contractor. This means when you ask them for a Contractors State Plumbing License they will have one and when you ask them for State Comp. Insurance they will be able to have their Insurance Company send you a valid certificate. When you ask them for Liabilty Insurance proof they are able call their Insurance company to send you proof. I dont care how little the job appears if you can not get proof of coverage before ANYONE enters your house the buck you save may be the on you wished you paid. All homeowners today should verify and ask for License and proof of Insurance. If the company can not supply call another.
