There was an advertisement in the phone book Master Plumber. When someone called him about a toilet blockage, he suggested a chain of paper clips. When it did not work, the customer went back and challenged him as to his qualifications to be a master plumber. She said, I dont think you are a plumber, much less a master. His reply was, I didnt say I was one, that is just what I call myself. : I have a partial blockage in my toilet and the water drains very slowly. A called a Master Plumber and he suggested I makeup a chain out of small paperclips about 4ft in length. He said to flush the toilet with about 10 gals. of water and as the the water started draining…let the chain of paperclips go down with the waterflow, but hold on to one end. He said the other end of the chain would snag on the clogged material and I would be able to jerk it loose if enough force is applied. Has anyone had any success with this method for unclogging toilets?
