: Is there a detection device commonly being : used by plumbers for finding broken sewerage : pipes and pinpointing location. My plumber is threatening to dig up my whole back yard to find my broken pipe. : Any idea what range I should expect to pay to have a pipe replaced ??1- use in line camera to locate problem 2- measure distance sewer rod went in to hit stoppage. 3- tracer can be attached to either camer or sewer rod to follow direction of travel. cost vary too widely from area to area and soil conditions(sandy/rocky/wet/dry)for me to guess on that. Here for $ 12.00 a foot(first 100) you wouldnt know a ditch has been dug.
