: : What is the regulation in USA for Copper pipework in buildings? : : i.e. What grade pipe can be used where, and what is the most common sizes used? : in homes up to six baths in my area we use: : type L : 1/2 branch : 3/4 trunk : 1 service supply : occasionally we will use type K for buried pipe if specified, however our soil condition is neturalWe use Type L for all above ground water lines and type K for under ground. If we use low down tanks ( toilet tanks) we can use a 3/4 line just like you sized BUT If we use flushometers we normally use a 11/2 line the volume required is much more than for a T&B Sylvan
