: I JUST MOVED INTO A NEW TOWN HOUSE. I BELEVE : MY NEIGHBORS SUMP PUMP RUNS TO MUCH. I HAVE A NICE SWAMP AT THE BOTTOM OF MY STEPS.I CANT EVER MOW THE GRASS BECAUSE ITS SO WET. I SET OUT SIDE SATURDAY, IT PUMPED OUT AT LEAST A GALLON OF WATER EVER 20 MINS. I WAS TOLD BY THE BUILDER THAT IT WAS PUMPING THAT MUCH BECAUSE THE AIR CONDITIONER IS RUNNING. IS THIS TURE?the builder is probably right if you hot humid days you,ll be suprised how much condisation your air condensing unit will produce. Most sump pumps (depending on the size of the sump pit)don,t accumilate much water before they kick on.Some sump pumps float switches can be adjusted so they hold more volume but I don,t know if this is your case. Agallon of water doesn,t seem like very much, I would think it could be adjusted to hold more volume so it wouldn,t kick on as often. respectfuly rodney
