: Cant find the answer to this in any book! When the toilet flushes, water does not wash down the sides. Problem just started. Any suggestions? THank you!sounds like the holes in the rim have become plugged take a small mirror and hold under edge of bowl, you will see the holes, then with something like a coat hanger wire clean out the holes. have you been using any thing in the tank like tablets to keep tank clean? there is some blue stuff on the market that is bad about plugging these holes.
