The cement will not bond to the painted pipe, but the primer will remove the paint if applied liberally and rubbed vigorously.: The previous owner of my house painted all of the dwv lines with latex paint. Will I have to remove the paint before adding new pvc fixtures to the existing lines or will the solvent adhere to the painted lines? It would save me alot of work if it would. : Thanks, dave
