CALL ANOTHER DRAIN COMPANY! THE GURGLE IS CAUSED BY YOUR SEWER LINE FILLING UP WITH WATER WHICH DISPLACES AIR PUSHING IT UP AND OUT YOUR DOWNSTAIRS TOILET. IT MAKES A SOUND LIKE BLUP, BLURP, BLUP.I AM FROM ANOTHER PART OF THE COUNTRY WHERE WE DONT HAVE IN-LINE SEWER TRAPS BUT I KNOW THEM TO BE COMMON & I KNOW THEY CAN BE WORKED FROM. GET ON THE PHONE & TALK TO SEVERAL OTHER COMPANYS. SURELY YOU CAN FIND SOMEONE TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM WITHOUT HEROICS & HUGE $$$$$$. LANE. : I am experiencing slow drainage. The 1st floor toilet has started to gurgle when the second floor toilet is flushed. I have a vent pipe in the lawn that seemed to have a bit more water than usual in it (12 vs 4 or so) : Called drain cleaning co & they said the couldnt snake out to the main sewer line. Said they couldnt get past the trap and that I would have to get a plumber to dig uo the trap. : My questions: : 1. what is the structure at the base of the vent pipe? : 2. Are there any alternatives to digging? (Vent pipe goes down about 10 and its another 60 feet to the main sewer under a state highway. : How can I be sure before I spend megabucks? : Thanks. : george
