The minimum slope is the only critical one. The maximum is infinity which is when the drain is perfectly vertical. On a three inch or smaller, the minimum is 1/4 per foot. Four inch to six inch is 1/8, and 6 and over is 1/16. The slope is not as important is not oversizing the pipe so as to lose effluent velocity.: What is the proper slope of a sewer line so that it will function properly.: Thanks.
