Have your unit serviced by a local water treatment company. It may not be properly regenerating. You can add Iron Out (a brand name for sodium hydrosulfite)to the brine tank to help with the cleaning of the softener. You may need to replace the unit with a new one. Check your local dealers and make sure you test the water before and after the softener to check its operation.
