If it turns but will not run then the motor is gone. But it sounds like it is just jammed. Try to turn the grinder plate with a stick.: My garbage disposal is not working. I just get a buzzing sound. So I think its not electrical. The fuse box switch is not tripped. The reset button on the bottom is pressed all the way in and does not pop out when I jiggle it. I dont think the disposal is jammed. What can I do? Do you think this is repairable? It is only 4-5 years old. Thank you.
