: Your water must have a lot of entrained air in it, and when it is heated, the air is released. It rises to the top of the water tank, and thus is the first thing that arrives at the faucet. Is there anything we can or should do to correct the problem? : : when turning on hot water faucet anywhere in home we get spurting and sputtering first thing for a second or two. this does not happen when cold is turned on.
