: You say it goes 600 ft. uphill, but you do not say what the difference is elevation is. If the well pressure is 40#, the new unit can only be 100 feet higher than the pump to get any water at all. But that would not give you any pressure, just a dribble of water. If the unit is higher than that, or the pressure is less than 40#, then there is not enough pressure to reach the unit.: : we had two households on one well pump. we added another household by piping in to one of the household lines. the pipe runs 600 feet uphill. when we turned the faucet on in the park model mobile home, we got no water and could hear no air. in fact, no water was in the line near the mobile home. we can find no faucets leading to the home that are turned off. the water well pump says that there is steady pressure with no flucutaion. could this be air or is it possible that our neighbor could have plugged up the pipe on purpose? he didnt want us to add a line. how do we figure this one out? [email protected]. many thanks. for every 27inches vertical you need one pound pressure to overcome.EG. if you have 100ft rise you times that by 12in. equals 1200inches diveded by 27inches equals 44.44 that is how much pressure is required to get the water just to the house then you need pressure in the house . so say that it would be nice to have 50lbs. at the new house the pump would need to put out 94.44lbs plus what the pump is allready putting out from the well to your house. the pump might not be capable of doing that. any more questions e mail [email protected]
