: I am trying to install a new bathroom sink. When I removed the old one, the drain pipe broke off flush with a brass elbow at the face of the wall. The only way I could remove the piece of broken pipe was to cut it out. When I did this I damages some threads of the brass elbow. Can I install a new pipe in this elbow and solder it so it wont leak?
