The idea has no merit, since the house could be pressure balanced by starting both the hot and cold distribution systems at the hot water heater. There would still be problems because the pressure problems are caused by the water flow and friction loss at the extremities of the system, not at the beginning, and these are a function of the piping design, pipe size, faucet flow rate, and everything else that the water is flowing through at the time. The only way to control pressure differentials is to install the balancing unit at the faucet(s) where you want to have a steady flow/temperature. : Are you at all familiar with an australian made device (or any other country for that matter) which can effectively pressure balance a whole building? Ive heard of an item called platypus!!!
