: I have a 4 year old house, with a finished basement (including full bath). : We have a horrible sewer gas smell, that seems to be located near the sewer : cleanout. Weve insured that there is water in all the traps.: The sewer lines converge under the basement floor, where they go out : to the sewer. Our sewer line is the last on the street and we are : approx. 5 feet higher than the next connected house. We have had : no backups.: We only get the smell in the basement, though the force-hot air : circulates it throughout the house (ugh). This is getting serious, : given the upcoming winter.: Questions:: 1. Could a crack have developed in the piping under the floor? : If so, how do we check this? : 2.
