The lower element is burned out, and it is not covered unless the heater is less than a year old.: I own a home with a Reliance 501 Electric Hot Water Heater manufactured by Reliance Hot Water Heater Company. Recently, the hot water heater is not producing enough hot water. This happened only recently, where before it was producing more than enough hot water for a family of five. Hot water lasts no more than 5-10 minutes. Does anyone know what the problem may be and whether this is covered under the five year warranty. Thank you. Lou Esbin
