Sunny ……… it seems that the unit is a room sealed balanced flue unit so you should not be able to smell gas or any other fumes ……. perhaps if the window is open and the wind in right direction and speed you might but my best advice is to have the landlord get it serviced by a licensed gas fitter who should attach a sticker to the unit giving details of name, date and gas fitters license number these units should be serviced at intervals NOT exceeding periods of 12 months, ……. hope this helps …….good luck. : Hi, Bill. Thanks for your reply.: 1) The unit is indoors.: 2) The indoor heater is located at upper-right wall of the window. : The gas pipe (metal) and the water pipes (metal) come into : the bottom of the heater. There is something outside the wall, like a square : metal cube with a slightly larger metal cover.: 3) The color of the heater is cream.: 4) There are some instructions on the heater. : Beside that, a message read as D-5630 remscheid: Thanks again for your help..: Best regard.: Sunny: : : : Hi, all.
