KAR:I agree that the sequence isnt critical. But I recommend not letting ANY of the HWH rust out and require replacement. If you merely replace the *anode* you can extend the life of ANY HWH by at least five years. Also, Id put a secondary anode in the new HWH so it would last at least 10 yearsbefore having to check the anode for condition.GOOD LUCK!!!
