The World’s Greatest Shave for a Cure (WGS) is the Leukaemia Foundation’s largest and most successful fundraising event. The MasterPlumbers.com Leukaemia Shave 2001 (part of the WGS 2001) was entered as a record attempt “Most Plumbers Shaved within a 24 hour period” in the Guiness Book of Records.
MasterPlumbers.com gave Plumbers the opportunity to have lots of fun and at the same raise $25,000, so we could help the Leukaemia Foundation raise $5 million towards research to find a cure for leukaemia, as well as helping the Leukaemia Foundation to provide vital patient support services.. On Saturday 12th May 2001 at Saltwater Functions in Turramurra – Sydney, we held an evening where the participants were shaved.
