First pipe laid on Sydney desalination pipeline route

Sydney Water Managing Director Kerry Schott announced that the first desalination pipe was laid at Kurnell today.

Plans for New Sewerage Scheme to Go on Display

Plans for a new sewerage scheme at Hawkesbury Heights and Yellow Rock will be put on public display for comment from Monday 18 February.

The proposed Hawkesbury Heights and Yellow Rock Sewerage Scheme involves providing sewerage services to about 340 residents in Hawkesbury Heights and Yellow Rock and transferring the wastewater to Winmalee Sewage Treatment Plant.

Water recycling doubles in Sydney

Sydney Water’s 2006-07 Water Conservation and Recycling Implementation Report shows that recycling schemes in Sydney, Illawarra and the Blue Mountains saved around 8.8 billion litres of drinking water in 2006-07, up from 4.1 billion litres the previous year
