: : We have recently had our home inspected so we can resell our home. It was brought to our attention that our drain line on our pressure relieve valve is to small. We was told to replace it with a 3/4 line but was not told where to drain it to? The hot water heater is in a utility room that has an 1 1/2 drain in the concrect floor. Is mounting the pressure relieve drain line 3 above the floor going straight down OK? We want our home to be safe and to Plumbing Codes.: : Thank You : : Not Sure : : DavidDavid, If you are in Australia, please find that only authorised persons may perform plumbing work.
