: I found water dripping inside the wall behind my second floor toilet. I traced it to the vent pipe (PVC) in the attic which goes up thru the roof. It looks like there are 2 – 90 degree elbow fittings that are not glued. This is where I see evidence of water on the floor in the attic, then the drip slowly goes down the outside of the pipe to the area behind my tolet. My question is where is the water coming from? There is no backups in any of the sinks or drains that I can see, only a slow drain in the basement bathtub. Should I glue the elbow fittings to stop the leak? Or auger out the drainpipe from the attic? Louis, The vent pipes and fittings should be glued. I would expect the water to be from the roof. Has it been raining. Water is either coming through the vent pipe or is leaking around the roof flashing for the vent pipe. Regards, Terry
