: I require some information regarding pipe freezing: : eg: 1 What formula is used to calculate the volume of nitrogen that will be : needed? : 2 How does one determine when the liquid is frozen? : 3 How is expansion controlled? : 4 Any other relevant information.: I will appreciate any information that can be sent to me: Thanking you : Byron PowellByron Ive only done a few pipe freezes so my experiance is limited , there is no way of being certin when the pipe is frozen solid but you get to know after a while by the frost forming either side of the freezing bag also squash the bag with your hands while your freezing and you can feel the ice forming in the bag, make certin that there is no water flowing at all because the water is turned off the expansion is going up the pipe and not bursting it ( just a guess) but you can freeze under presure if you make a mistake you get very wetgood luck– andrew
