Ive recently installed a dishwasher in my apartment. Apparently, when I use it, my downstairs neighbours sink is filling with soapy bubbles. Is there any safe way to stop this, other than installing backflow preventers for all the downstairs neighbours? Im wondering if its safe to put a restriction orifice of some sort on the discharge line, or maybe just using less soap… Any advice would be appreciated, by both myself and the neighbours.
Chris…Try using a different type of dishwasher detergent. There are several kinds of low sudsing powders that do a good job and dont create a suds problem…Merry ChristmasBud Suncoast Plumbing Sunny Florida
