I recently moved into a home in a great neighborhood, only to find the water is terrible. I have had 5 and 15 micron filters installed and they clog within a week. On some days you can actually see chunks of rust come thru the pipes. The main line was supposed to be replaced two years ago, but nothing has been done to correct the problem. I noticed when I moved in, all the water fixtures were brand new, today I know why. I have lived in this rental house for less than a year and the toilet is orange, along with any fixture which has water. My question, who makes the BEST iron/sulpher filter and who do I contact for more information?

One of the first things that needs to be done is a water sample. How many ppm of iron is there? Does the water run clear or dingy? Is the smell sulfur or iron? What is the PH of the water? These need to be answered before moving on.
