My well water has a P.H. of 6.1, after its run through a calcite tank the P.H. goes to 6.3. Will I still have a leaching or damage to copper piping?. Should I consider any additional additives?. I appreciate your comments on the proper water connections in and out of the calcite filter. A local water filter company recommends that the water inlet should be fed from the bottom of the filter, (through the gravel then the calcite and outflow to the house). It seems to me that using this method lifts up the bed (gravel and calcite) and consequently forces some of the calcite granules to flow out with the water. I am concerned if ingesting the calcite granules could cause health problems? Thank you for your advice and comments. Ed.
