Water pressure to tub faucet and shower head is very low. Pressure to all other faucets are fine. We changed the posi-temp cartridge in Moen faucet, but nothing changed. We called 2 different plumbers. One changed the cartridge again with same results. The next one had no idea what to do. We have a private well. Could there possibly be a clog somewhere? How can we correct this?

Many new valves have flow regulater built in and only so much water can get through. Do you have other valves like this that are working better. I assume the flow is low at the spout as well as the shower head. Generally the flow restricter at shower head can be removed or different head installed.

It was not always like this. The pressure gradually reduced. The pressure is low with the shower head and tub spout off. When the cartridge is out, water gushes out of the handle. When the cartridge is in it is slow from shower and tub. Please help!!!!Gina

With the cartridge out I used a wet vaccum on the head of the valve body to pull the pieces out. I held a damp cloth over the shower head and then over the spout to increase vaccum. Have your vaccum clean so you can see if any trash comes out. If your water supply is very hard or has a lot of iron in it, then there could be a build up in valve. Short of changeing valve, I cant think of an easy way to overcome that. advise me of the outcome
